Blooming Fantastic Workshops

The long awaited blooming fantastic workshops have finally arrived!
At blooming fantastic we are happy to share our expertise and skills with others, and pride ourselves on the advice and ideas we pass onto our customers.

The classes will be led by Senior Floral Designer & Owner Lizzy and blooming fantastic florists. Between us we have nearly 25 years experience and a host of professional qualifications. So we are full of tips and tricks to enhance your experience. All flowers, sundries and refreshments are supplied; we will also supply you with a bag to transport your creations home and on the evening you will have the opportunity to purchase extra flowers, materials and tools for you to recreate the designs at home.

The following courses start in January 2010 and will include:

Wedding Workshop £250

This one day wedding workshop will give you a small taster of wedding floristry. We combine two essential techniques to creating a basic selection of bridal flowers. We'll show you how to make a hand tied bridal bouquet, and combine this with a matching buttonhole or corsage. This will give any budding florist an insight into bridal floristry.

The course runs from 10am - 16:00
1/2 hour for lunch - which is provided.
Courses can be held on some Saturdays and are payable in advance.
Classes do not exceed 8 people.

Hand Tied Evening £60

In this workshop you will learn how to create the handtied arrangement of your choice, wrap it in sumptuous papers, add any accessories of your Choice and choose the container. A fun evening perfect for learning how to create personal Gifts.

All flowers materials and sundries are included in this workshop as are refreshments.

Career Course £3000

Fancy a career change?

We are now running a 4 week course looking at all the essential areas required for running your own floristry business; from sourcing suppliers, to managing stock, creating an image and standing out from the crowd. We even include one day a week working in our own busy shop - so you get hands on experience. The course gives a good understanding of the main floral elements -handtied bouquets, arrangements, basic wedding designs, funeral tributes, corporate design work etc. Lizzy also runs 2 follow up sessions to be chosen at a time that is convenient to you, designed to help with any areas where you may need extra assistance. Course runs from 10am to 5pm with a 30min lunch break: Monday-Friday

A deposit of £300 is required on booking and the balance is required one week before course commences. Please note this course is intensive, but we think we are rather nice, fun people to be around !
